Pioneer football climbs in Northwest Conference

The Pioneers football team could be poised to take the top spot in the Northwest Conference, an Oregonian article asserts.

An Oregonian article asserts that the Pioneers football team could be poised to take the top spot in the Northwest Conference.

While Willamette University and Linfield College have dominated the Northwest Conference for the past few years, Lewis & Clark could, “become the wedge that finally busts up the duo,” and wins the conference.

Coach Chris Sulages told The Oregonian that the Pioneers have already begun to close the gap on the competition.

“Of course, I think with what we’re doing here, we definitely think we have a chance,” he said.
