United States Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts appointed Law School Dean Robert Klonoff to be the academic member of the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules.

Klonoff, a leading scholar in the area of class actions and a member of the distinguished American Law Institute (ALI), will serve on the committee of about 15 members, one of whom must be a professor of law. The committee is charged with promulgating the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

“Dean Klonoff’s appointment to this important committee is further evidence of what people in national legal circles, and the Lewis & Clark community, have long known—that Bob Klonoff is a brilliant leader in the legal profession,” President Barry Glassner said. “All of us at Lewis & Clark congratulate Bob on this honor and for exemplifying the Law School’s long tradition of service.”
