Shana Tova!

Happy New Year from the JLS E-Board!

Dear JLS Members,

We wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy New Year.  Law school can be a difficult place for students during the holidays when friends and families might be far away.  We want to remind you that our JLS board members are happy to celebrate with you in their absence and serve as an extended family.

As you start this New Year, we hope that you do so with sweetness and a sense of purpose.  As Rabbi Tarfon taught, “It is not your part to finish the task, yet neither are you free to desist from it.” In other words, as we approach the world as future lawyers, we have a strong obligation to continue engaging with ethics and helping to improve the condition of the world (even though we cannot solve all its problems).

We wish you much peace and happiness, and we hope to see you at our upcoming events.

Best wishes,

JLS Board
