Letter of the Law Editor

Marie Atwood

1. Briefly, what were the responsibilities of your position?

Responsibilities of my position: I write, edit, design, and print Letter of the Law. It can be a lot of work when there are no submissions to work with. InDesign has a pretty steep learning curve, so make sure you watch some tutorials or contact someone who knows how to use the program (like me!), or else you’ll die of frustration.

2. What was your total time commitment for both internal and external committees?

Not too much time spent on internal/external committees, honestly.

3. What were the benefits of your experience?

Letter of the Law is really fun to write and people generally enjoy it. It’s a nice departure from legal writing, and a good way to keep our weird little world in perspective.
