Personal Statement:
My name is Nikoo Heidarzadeh and I would be honored to serve as your SBA Secretary. I’m currently a first-year student with an interest in criminal law.
I’ve had extensive experience with secretarial positions, both in academic and professional capacities. During my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Irvine, I served on the executive board of the Dean’s Ambassadors Council for three years, as Academic Chair and Executive Chair. My responsibilities as an executive member included keeping minutes of all meetings, creating a sustainable bridge between the student body and faculty, and organizing quarterly social events where members of the community and student body could effectively network. Additionally, during the year before beginning law school, I served as an intern in Supervisor Patricia Bates’ Office in Orange County, California. In that capacity, I was responsible for attending weekly board meetings with members of the County Government Board, recording the decisions from such meetings, and communicating with constituents regarding the County and the Supervisor’s campaign. Currently, I serve as secretary for Law Students for Reproductive Justice, where I manage minutes and event advertisements. I believe that my experiences will allow me to approach this position with a great sense of responsibility and enthusiasm.

Goals:
Maintaining an organized record that reliably keeps the student body updated on all opportunities, proposals, and changes. Additionally, creating a forum that will allow for suggestions and discussions regarding any concerns members of the Lewis & Clark Law community may have.
