Personal Statement:
My background makes me a good fit for this office for two reasons.  First, I have worked in accounting for several years in many different capacities.  This gives me a good understanding of how accounting and budgeting work in practice.  Second, I served on the internal budget committee which reviews all student group budgets.  I am confident that with a good group of SBA members, I can lead the internal budget committee to fairly distribute the limited SBA funds.

Goals:

Maryam did a wonderful job, and I plan to follow her example.  First, I want to make sure all student groups understand how SBA funds are distributed and how cuts to budgets are calculated.  Second, I’ll make SBA general assembly meetings more efficient.  I will get the information from groups or individuals in advance and make recommendations to the SBA after the funding requests are made to the general assembly.
