NCVLI Receives Prestigious Justice Award

NCVLI staff and Board Member Helene Davis were proud to accept the Paul H. Chapman Foundation for Improvement of Justice Award in Atlanta, Georgia on September 29th.  NCVLI was specifically recognized for engaging in legal reform and advancing crime victims’ rights on a national level through litigation, education, and public policy.

NCVLI staff and Board Member Helene Davis were proud to accept the Paul H. Chapman Foundation for Improvement of Justice Award in Atlanta, Georgia on September 29th. 

The Foundation for Improvement of Justice, Inc. was founded for the purpose of improving local, state and federal systems of justice.  The Foundation’s mission is to recognize innovative and effective works and/or programs whose efforts have made positive influential differences in the United States criminal and civil judicial arenas.  NCVLI was specifically recognized for engaging in legal reform and advancing crime victims’ rights on a national level through litigation, education, and public policy.

Other organizations receiving the award were:  The Florida Bar Foundation in Orlando Florida, Hope House in Washington, D.C., the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) Team in Washington, D.C., the National Immigrant Justice Center in Chicago, Illinois, and the Maryland Crime Victims’ Resource Center, Inc., in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
