CAPAL Scholarship

CAPAL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-partisan, educational organization that was founded in 1989 by APA professionals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Its mission is to promote Asian Pacific American interests and success in public service careers, to provide information and education on policy issues affecting the APA community, and to serve the APA community at large.

The Conference on Asian Pacific American Leadership (CAPAL) will award three (3) scholarships to outstanding Asian Pacific American (APA) students committed to public service and community action, who will complete an internship in our nation’s capital during the summer. CAPAL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, non-partisan, educational organization that was founded in 1989 by APA professionals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Its mission is to promote Asian Pacific American interests and success in public service careers, to provide information and education on policy issues affecting the APA community, and to serve the APA community at large. CAPAL offers places students in internships in public service and offers scholarships to support them
