Veronica Muriel Carrioni, a recent LLM graduate, has been hired as the director of the Environmental Law Department of the Law School at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, located in Bogotá, Colombia. Veronica met the professors from the law school during a presentation at Lewis & Clark Law School.

We recently heard from Veronica, who shared her experience at Lewis & Clark Law School:

“I have always been passionate about the environment, and Lewis & Clark was the perfect place to improve my knowledge in the environmental law field and gain the tools and experience I needed to be an environmental lawyer with an international perspective. The courses, clinical experience and other multiple events at Lewis & Clark were the perfect combination for me to have a great experience during the course of my LLM Everything I learned at Lewis & Clark prepared me for the challenges I will face during the rest of my career as an environmental lawyer in Colombia.

Currently, I am the director of the Environmental Law Department of the Law School at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, located in Bogotá, Colombia. My job is to create a cutting-edge environmental law program for the law school. The purpose is to establish the Law School at Universidad Sergio Arboleda as one of leaders in the education of environmental law worldwide, by building a well-rounded and interdisciplinary program. This program will offer different courses in environmental law for the JD program, in order for students to learn about the different areas of the field. In addition, the program will offer post-graduate-level degrees in environmental law.”

¡Buena suerte Veronica!
