The Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra launches the season with an exciting all-Tchaikovsky program, featuring Lewis & Clark College Music’s Susan DeWitt Smith playing the mighty Piano Concerto No. 1.

The Portland Columbia Symphony Orchestra launches the season with an exciting all-Tchaikovsky program, featuring Lewis & Clark College Music’s Susan DeWitt Smith playing the mighty Piano Concerto No. 1. The orchestra is featured in the powerful Symphony No. 4 in F minor, of which Tchaikovsky proclaimed “this symphony is better than anything I’ve done so far.” The program opens with the ebullient Polonaise from Eugene Onegin.
