Epif Restaurant - a bit of Chile in Portland!

Epif, the first vegetarian restaurant inspired by the Andes Region of South America  will be opening October 30th! Nicolle and Jose brought their expertise from their restaurant in Valparaiaso Chile to Portland. After two years of designing, planning and building, the restaurant has come together. The beautiful location, which was built in their garden, mixes South America with Portland craftsmanship, creating a unique ambiance.

Epif, the first vegetarian restaurant inspired by the Andes Region of South America, will be opening October 30th! Owned by Nicolle and Jose, the new Portland restaurant will feature food and recipes perfected at their original location in Valparaiaso, Chile. The restaurant is ready for opening after two years of designing, planning and building. It is located in their beautiful garden and features a mix of South American and Portland craftsmanship, which creates a wonderfully unique ambiance.

Daniel, a friend from their time in Chile and the restaurant’s chef, has traveled to Portland to bring authentic recipes with a vegetarian twist. The restaurant will also feature a pisco bar. Pisco is a clear brandy that is very popular in both Chile and Peru. The restaurant looks forward to bringing pisco classics along with Portland-inspired pisco cocktails.

Nicolle and Jose came to the Pro Bono Project this spring and have been working with attorney Elizabeth Inayoshi to develop their employee handbook. We at the SBLC are very excited to try their food this fall!
