Thirty-six women have been selected by the Daily Journal of Commerce as 2016 Women of Vision award winners, including Lewis & Clark Law School alumna Dana Krawczuk ’99.

The awards recognize women shaping the built environment in Oregon and Southwest Washington through their leadership, mentoring efforts, community involvement and promotion of industry diversity.

Krawczuk is senior counsel at the law firm Perkins Coie in Portland. She has represented clients in a number of high-profile land use and annexation cases that have helped shape the law of the region. She was ranked by Chambers USA, as “America’s Leading Real Estate Lawyers,” earlier this year; was listed in Portland Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” in 2014; and named an Oregon Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014.

“This year’s list of honorees is not only the largest class we’ve had, but also one of the most powerful and diverse groups we’ve had,” DJC Publisher Nick Bjork said. “This year’s class represents the prestige this awards program has built over the years, as well as the direction we see it expanding in – to include other industries outside of architecture, engineering and construction that have a gender balance, and are full of women breaking ground and creating pathways for the next generation.”

The 36 winners will be honored during an awards luncheon on Oct. 26.
