Thank you to everyone who joined us on January 25, for the Voices for Justice Reception! Together we raised our voices to support victims’ rights and celebrated the amazing work being done locally on behalf of victims. The keynote was delivered by nationally recognized victim advocate, Jennifer Storm. Her story of survival inspired us all to do more for victims in 2017 and beyond. We were proud to honor two Oregonians with the Voice for Justice Award: State Senator Sara Gelser in recognition of groundbreaking legislation expanding the statute of limitations for sexual assault and prioritizing rape kit testing and Gloria Needham, the Director of Victims’ Assistance with the Hood River District Attorney’s Office, for her decades of advocacy. Their acceptance speeches kindled a desire in all of us to do more. We are thankful for the funds raised that night which will allow us to continue the work advancing victims’ rights!
We couldn’t have done it without our generous sponsors and community support! THANK YOU!
To ensure victims’ voices are heard we need your support year round. It’s not too late, donate now.
