NCVLI is committed to providing cutting edge education. Here at home in Oregon, together with amazing community partners, we are re-envisioning the State Victim Assistance Academy (SVAA).
The SVAA provides fundamental education for victim service providers and allied professionals who routinely interact with victims of crime. Oregon’s SVAA has two learning tracks:
- The Basic Academy is for those new to the field and covers the core competencies needed for compassionate, knowledgeable, and collaborative victim advocacy
- The Advanced Academy is for experienced advocates and covers emerging topics and sustainable advocacy
