Kenneth R. Feinberg inspired and entertained guests as the 2017 Justice Kennedy Lecturer October 3 at Lewis & Clark Law School
Feinberg shared many heart-breaking experiences from his role managing the Federal September 11th Victim Compensation Fund of 2001 and the BP Claims Fund. “The challenging part was not determining the compensation amount, it was dealing with the overwhelming grief and emotional distress of the victims,” said Feinberg. Many victims told their story to Feinberg in private hearings.
“We were so honored to have Mr. Feinberg join us and share his experiences with our law students and faculty, “ said Jennifer Johnson, dean of Lewis & Clark Law School.
Lewis & Clark President Wim Wiewel joined Dean Johnson in welcoming guests.
Mr. Feinberg is the Managing Partner of The Feinberg Group, LLP., where he serves as one of the nation’s leading experts in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
