Division of Student Life Announces 2022 Award Winners
This year’s Student Life Awards recipients are:
Medallion Award, presented to Franchesca Spann. This award is presented to a new professional in the field of Student Affairs who demonstrates a commitment to the betterment of Lewis & Clark and their department, an outstanding job performance that frequently exceeds expectations, cultivates an environment that enhances the student experience, provides leadership and innovation, and promotes an environment that is free from bias and discrimination.
Excellence in Innovation Award, presented to Ben Meoz. This award recognizes a staff member who develops innovative processes that enhance the effective functioning of their department and the student experience, builds partnerships that produce results and makes collaborators feel respected and valued, and promotes an environment free from bias and discrimination.
Team Award, presented to Health & Wellness Staff: Danner Peter, Megan Doren, Michelle Callahan, Emily Mattson, Michelle Lac, Kelly Orozco, Katy Halverson, Julia Lockart, Eden Baron-Williams, Sam Helms-Galbraith, and John Hancock. This award goes to staff who collaborate exceptionally well; bring a spirit of inclusion to all that they do; strive to cultivate the best possible student experience; and promote an environment free from bias and discrimination.
Partner Award, presented to Erik Olson. This award recognizes an outstanding staff member from a department outside the Division of Student Life who has contributed to the Division’s attainment of its goals and objectives through collaboration and partnership, enhanced the Division’s ability to have a positive impact on the student experience, and demonstrated commitment to values of diversity, tact, and inclusion and promoting an environment that is free from bias and discrimination.
The Division’s highest award, the Mark Duntley Award, presented to John Hancock. This award goes to a staff member who demonstrates excellent administrative and professional performance that enhances the effective functioning of their office and contributes to the Division’s attainment of its goals, has positive and effective relationships with students, staff, and other institutional stakeholders; demonstrates honesty and adherence to the highest standards of moral and ethical values through personal and professional behavior, makes accomplishments in areas that have a positive impact on the student experience and the Division of Student Life as a whole, and shows a commitment to values of diversity and inclusion within the context of the College’s mission/vision.
