April 18-24 is National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Over the last 30 years tens of thousands of laws have been passed affording rights to victims in the criminal justice system.  Sadly, these laws are not always fully respected.  This year’s CVRW theme - Crime Victims’ Rights:  Fairness, Dignity, Respect - reminds us to be vigilant and to protect all victims’ rights.

To further this goal, NCVLI will host a free 4-hour online CLE during which presenters will discuss the state of victims’ rights nationally, and pose the question of whether we have overcome the legacy of poor treatment of victims that victims’ rights are intended to overcome, such that victims are treated with increased dignity and respect.  For more information and to register, click here.
