To move forward, we must remember our roots and why we began the journey.  The Modern Crime Victims’ Rights Movement began more than 30 years ago with a goal of improving the treatment of victims in the justice system.  To learn more about the history of victims’ rights, click here.

As part of the Movement, NCVLI was conceived in 1997 to be a national resource for crime victim lawyers and advocates to support the assertion and enforcement of victims’ rights.  To learn more about NCVLI’s history, click here.
