Helping Children Learn to Write
A new book, Raising Writers: Understanding and Nurturing Young Children’s Writing Development (Allyn & Bacon, 144 pp.), explores how primary educators can nurture young learners through the transition from spoken to written language.

Author and children’s writing enthusiast Ruth Shagoury is the Mary Stuart Rogers Professor of Education.
