Wanter Uja is a Christian Nigerian born and raised Energy & Construction lawyer who earned her Bachelor of Laws (BL) from the Nigerian Law School in 2011. Until recently, Wanter worked with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited as part of the National Integrated Power Project team, where she gained over 8 years’ experience in the Nigerian power sector. She was a participant at the Young Women in African Power Cohort II, which convened in Midrand, South Africa, after being identified as an emerging leader in the African Energy Sector by YALI/Power Africa.
Wanter’s desire to understand and find lasting solutions to the issues which plague the African power sector led her to pursue an LLM in Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources Law at Lewis & Clark Law School, where she was awarded the Environmental Ambassador Scholarship. Her passion about working with relevant stakeholders to finding lasting solutions to the power problems makes her excited to join the phenomenal team at the Green Energy Institute.
Wanter is a travel junkie, loves to read and sweat out the pressure of the day at the gym.
