Mikalah is a recent graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Animal Law. During law school, she had the opportunity to participate on Lewis & Clark’s Animal Law Review and as a board member for the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s student chapter. Additionally, she has had the ability to work for the Born Free Foundation, Animal Welfare Institute, Mercy For Animals, and the International Environmental Law Project on issues related to wildlife regulations and farm animal legislation. Prior to law school, Mikalah lived in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended Case Western Reserve University and worked on research related to ethics and dehumanization. Mikalah hopes to continue working on improving environmental policies while with the Green Energy Institute.
