Before law school I worked as a legal assistant for a worker’s compensation law firm in Knoxville, TN. I have lived in six different states over the past ten years and spend every spare moment traveling (prior to COVID).
Activities I’m Involved In:
I have had my horse for 27 years so she is a big part of my life, so horseback riding and working at the stable are huge for me! I also love being outdoors whether hiking, cycling, or running, especially with my dog and cat.
Favorite Class at L&C:
It’s hard to choose just one! Probably Alternative Dispute Resolution though. I loved how we had a mock mediation in class and learned about a different way of settling legal disputes.
What made me decide to go to law school?
This one is easy! Every single interaction I had with LC during the admissions process was so friendly, warm, and welcoming. LC truly is a community and the second I stepped foot on campus during a tour I knew I wanted to learn here.
Advice on how to choose a law school:
Go with your gut choice, there’s always one school that you are constantly thinking of and that is likely the school for you.
A funny story…
The first day of Legal Methods my professor made us relive the scene in Legally Blonde where the professor asks about the Aristotle quote (no one got kicked out of class). I knew I picked the right school in that moment.
