Julie Kathryn McIntyre LLM ’92 of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away February 18, 2019. She was 63.

Julie was born in Miami, Florida, to James and Sara Grace Fegley. A graduate of Richmond University and Emory University Law School, she was a public defender for a brief time. Julie then entered the air force to serve as an attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, with assignments at George AFB in California, Andrews AFB in Maryland, and Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. She then worked in the telecommunications industry. Julie’s last civilian job was at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control as an environmental staff attorney.

Julie’s hobbies included collecting Native American art, playing and watching golf, and travel. She loved spending time with her five grandsons, two nephews, and her support dog, Gabriel.

Julie is survived by her husband of 24 years, James Howard “Jim” McIntyre; stepchildren James H. “Jimmy” McIntyre Jr. and Molly McDaniel; grandchildren Evan and Graham McIntyre and Connor, Dillon, and Owen McDaniel; siblings Jill Kilgore, Jonathan Fegley, and Jimmy Fegley; nephews Pace Fegley and Wade Fegley; and extended family and friends.
