Melissa is a 2L interested in both environmental and animal law. She is originally from North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Sustainable Development. She worked at a pay-what-you-can community cafe, which instilled a drive to pursue a career focusing on issues in our food system. She is interested in the issues arising from industrial animal agriculture, and how we can move to more sustainable and humane farming practices. When she is not doing school work, she loves rollerskating (badly), going to the Farmers Market, and listening to spooky podcasts.
Lewis & Clark Law School Animal Legal Defense Fund is located in room 14 of Wood Hall.
