Jennifer Cheng-Ming Li

Jennifer Cheng-Ming Li JD ’01 passed away peacefully February 20, 2022, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was at home with her husband and beloved kitties.

Jennifer was born in Elgin, Illinois, on October 15, 1976. She had a wonderful childhood, filled with the love and many gatherings of her extended family. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a double major in biology and political science in 1998, and then headed to Oregon to pursue her law degree. Jennifer met the love of her life, Sean, in 2004 and they were married September 1, 2018.

Jennifer lived a full life. She loved to spend time traveling with her husband, family, and friends, and she had a number of hobbies, including knitting, attending the symphony, and game nights. Jennifer loved animals of all kinds and volunteered with the Oregon Humane Society for many years.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Sean Carver; her parents, Edward and Lien Li; her brother Kevin; her sister-in-law Karen; her nieces Evelyn and Lauren; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; her friends and chosen family, who loved her very much; and her cats Jiji, Olorin, and Master Peabody.
