Biography

Trisha Thompson serves as Professional Responsibility Counsel for DLA Piper. In that role, she advises the firm and its lawyers on a variety of ethics and risk management issues. Prior to joining DLA Piper’s Office of General Counsel, Ms. Thompson had an active litigation practice that included providing advice to lawyers and law firms on ethics and risk management issues including conflicts, litigation funding, emerging law-related technologies, and attorney-client privilege and work product protections. She also represented lawyers in bar disciplinary defense and bar admission matters.

Ms. Thompson received her JD from the University of Oregon School of Law and her BA from the University of Minnesota. She is licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington.
