Professor Amy Bushaw




Degree: AB with honors 1981 Princeton University JD 1984 Yale Law School

After graduating from Yale Law School, Professor Bushaw was a partner with the law firm of Hughes & Luce, LLP in Texas (now merged with K&L Gates LLP). Among other clients, she represented financial institutions in a broad range of domestic and international transactions. Professor Bushaw joined the Lewis & Clark Law School faculty in 1992, where she specializes in Contracts and Commercial Law. With her colleague Professor Dan Rohlf, she developed one of the first law courses to examine sustainability in law and business. Bushaw also examines theories of legal education and practice, focusing on law student and lawyer well-being and on the transactional practice of law. She is a dedicated teacher and has received the Leo Levenson Award three times for excellence in teaching.
