Professor Thomas N. Ambrose
Professor Tom Ambrose ’75 has taught agricultural law, family business law, and an environmental law seminar at the law school for eight years. He received his BA from Harvard College in 1972 and his JD from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1975. From 1976 to 1988, Professor Ambrose was a shareholder in one of Idaho’s largest law firms, where he represented a natural gas utility before the Idaho Public Utilities Commission and represented bank and other institutional clients in bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings. From 1989 to 1991, he was counsel to two large Northwest-based law firms specializing in bankruptcy, reorganization, and secured transactions. In 1992 he left practice and became managing partner of his family’s farming and ranching business. Professor Ambrose is a member of the Idaho State Bar, the Agricultural Law Association, and the American Bar Association.
