Julie E. Frantz

The Honorable Julie Frantz ’75 is a Judge in Multnomah County. Judge Frantz practiced as a public defender and then as a partner in a civil litigation firm before taking the bench in 1994. She is honored to be on the Board of Visitors and feels a great loyalty to the law school for the education and opportunities she received here. Judge Frantz serves as Chair of the Board’s Governance Committee. She actively seeks and hires Lewis & Clark Law School graduates as law clerks in her court. Judge Frantz served as the first woman president of the Oregon State Bar, was named president of the Oregon Judges Circuit Court Association and received the Distinguished Graduate Award from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1993.
