Biography
Ms. Smith practiced for more than 30 years as a commercial litigator. She was an equity partner in the firm now known as K&L Gates, has experience in smaller firm and in-house settings, and clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She has been trial and appellate counsel in state and federal courts, acted as counsel in various arbitrations and mediations, served as an arbitrator for AAA among others, and is a trained mediator.
Ms. Smith graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she was Editor-in-Chief, Volume 41, of the Law Review.
