“I have a keen interest in animal welfare issues which prompted me to pursue a career in animal law. For my LLM Project, I am working on setting up a non-profit organization in Kenya that will provide veterinary services to animals as well as set up a shelter for homeless animals and animals in need of protection and basic care. To enable many people in Africa to get involved in animal law and also in the protection of animals, I have requested and been granted leave to develop an undergraduate animal law syllabus for Kenyan Universities interested in the introduction of animal law in their curriculum. This will be the first animal law course unit in Eastern Africa.”
