A wildlife biology major and sociology minor in the the 1970’s, Jeff graduated from the University of Idaho in 1977. He quickly moved into the field of invasive cardiology as a registered cardiopulmonary technologist, providing technical support during open heart surgery and heart catheterization. In the mid-80’s, he began a long career in medical equipment and system sales management and marketing. Buying his first farm in 1992, he bought his first pair of breeding alpacas in 1997 against all outside advice. For over 20 years in the alpaca business, he has provided his expertise mentoring small businesses on marketing and sales strategies and micro-lending to help them succeed. A believer in the importance of small independent businesses, Jeff plans to continue to support the entrepreneurial spirit and leadership required of small businesses for the foreseeable future.
When not in his pastures with the alpacas, Jeff enjoys the great outdoors, playing golf, racquetball and cooking.
