Fulbright Russian Language Assistant 2018-19
Zemfira is our Russian Fulbright Language Assistant for the 2018-19 academic year.
Zemfira graduated from Karachay-Circassian State University, from Department of Germanic languages and received a diploma of an English teacher. After her graduation she has taught English at schools and educational centers. She loves teaching and learning languages and finds it important to include cultural aspects in her language teaching.
Zemfira is interested in ceramics, especially in creating clay vessels on a potter’s wheel. In her free time she enjoys reading, travelling and trekking, visiting art galleries, attending concerts and movies.
Zemfira comes from the Karachay-Circassian Republic, a small republic in the mountains of the North Caucasus, one of the most beautiful places in Russia, famous for its ski resorts, fierce blue mountain lakes and healing air. The North Caucasus is considered to be a unique place in the Russian Federation because of its ethnic and linguistic diversity.
