Adjunct Law Faculty
Caitlin Mitchell received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2012, after which she clerked for Justice Martha Lee Walters on the Oregon Supreme Court. She then spent five years as a staff attorney at Youth, Rights & Justice (YRJ) in Portland. Her practice areas include trial-level representation of parents and children in dependency cases, and appellate representation in dependency and delinquency cases. Ms. Mitchell came to YRJ on a Liman Fellowship, with a project that focused on families affected by incarceration. The intersection of incarceration and child welfare continues to be an area of particular interest for her.
