Tom Holland is a C-level executive, investor and board member, based in San Francisco. Tom had a 24-year career at Bain & Company where he founded Bain’s private equity business and scaled the business globally to $500 million. He supported and invested in several hundred private equity transactions, and also served on Bain’s global Board of Directors. From 2013-2015, Tom led venture capital backed Sunrun as President. The senior team at Sunrun scaled the business 600% and completed an IPO in mid 2015.
Tom is currently investing in and advising a number of venture backed and private equity owned companies across software, craft beer, food and solar energy.
He also serves on the board of KIPP Bay Area Schools, and is a former board member of Common Sense Media.
Tom holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He is the father of Erica Holland ’19. He and his wife Sandra reside in Orinda, California.
