Courses are open to law students, lawyers, and college graduates interested in law. Housing is available on-campus or in nearby neighborhoods.
SPECIAL NOTE: Summer classes may vary each week, so you MUST check WebAdvisor to see the EXACT dates on which class will be held. Visiting students may use WebAdvisor to check for specific class dates by clicking through and using the Prospective Students link on the login page. Then choose Search for Sections, and select Law - Summer 2018 as the Term and Law as the Subject.
SUMMER EXAMS: Read the Summer Exam page CAREFULLY! Summer School exam dates vary depending on the specific class. You are responsible for being aware of potential exam dates when you register for classes. The last potential exam date in Session I is July 2, 2018. The last potential exam date in Session II is August 6, 2018. Do not make travel plans without knowing when your last exam may be.

Please note: Prospective visiting students should apply for financial aid at their home institutions as soon as possible. Classes are open to visiting students and auditors. Classes may be taken for credit, audit, or audit with a certificate. Auditing students must first receive permission to register and enrollment depends on space availability.

We invite you to join us for a unique opportunity to study Federal Indian law this summer at Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon. This program offers exciting study, travel, and discovery opportunities combining substantive courses in Indian Law with several field studies in Indian Country. Two five-week sessions with evening classes, along with one, two-week intensive, allow participants to take several classes during all or part of the summer, or take advantage of the other summer school courses offered at Lewis & Clark Law School.

Summer 2018 tuition to be determined. Auditors not receiving a certificate, alumni, and government or non-profit employees receive tuition discounts. Check with the registrar for specific amounts.
Financial aid is available. Students should apply for aid as early as possible in the spring semester. Special rules apply to the distribution of summer school aid. Lewis & Clark students should contact Financial Aid, at 503-768-7090 or email@example.com. Visiting students should contact the financial aid office at their home school.
No financial aid is available for auditing students.
Visiting students and auditors must submit a $150 nonrefundable deposit with their registration.

Dates & Deadlines
Registration opens in February 2018. Lewis & Clark students may add and drop summer school classes online through May 28, 2018. After that date, all add and drop transactions must be done through the registrar’s office.
