Lewis & Clark Law School welcomes Professor Hiroshi Motomura, the Susan Westerberg Prager Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law. Professor Motomura is a leading scholar and teacher of immigration and citizenship law and the author of
Americans in Waiting: The Lost Story of Immigration and Citizenship in the United States. Motomura will be a central speaker on the immigration panel of the
ACLU Northwest Civil Liberties Conference. On the same day, the law school will host a interdisciplinary forum with leading migration scholars in diverse fields to discuss the ideas and themes of Motomura’s forthcoming book on immigration outside of the law. The forum will focus on legalization of noncitizens unlawfully present in the United States.
