One of the rising issues in Employment law is the religious rights of employers and employees in the workplace. Come hear from one of Portland’s leading Employment Law attorneys discuss the rights, privileges, and exemptions afforded to people in the workplace on the basis of religion.
There will be a discussion followed by Q&A; lunch will be served.
Andrew Altschul is recognized in The Best Lawyers of America, Oregon Super Lawyers and Rising Stars, and selected as a leader in his field for Oregon by Chambers USA. He is a named partner at Buchanan Angeli Altschul & Sullivan, and he is also a frequent speaker at national and local employment law forums. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College.

A panel of six speakers from Kaiser Permanente, including Scott Allan, Director of Employee and Labor Relations, will be talking to the Labor and Employment Law Society and the Health Law Society about their experiences working as in-house counsel at one of Portland’s largest employers. Many of the panelists are graduates of Lewis & Clark law school and will come ready to dispense valuable advice on what it takes to get hired in the competitive human resources arena.
