According to a recent poll, 88% of Americans believe the medical use of marijuana recommended to a patient by a doctor pursuant to state law should be free from criminal and civil penalties. Yet the ‘federal crackdown’ on medical marijuana continues.

Oregon SSDP’s 2012 Cannabis Law Reform Conference

Oregon’s SSDP chapters have united to host the first ever Cannabis Law Reform Conference at Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, February 25th, from 1-5pm.

We are hosting this conference in a debate format where we will hear from all the initiatives, ask questions, and voice concerns. After the debate section of the conference is over, all of our chapter will convene to discuss which initiative we will publicly endorse and work with hopefully through election day. Then, we will have a breakout session featuring a two different panels. One will be ‘A Regulated Supply System in Oregon’, and the other will be ‘The Future of the OMMP’
