Monica Wells of American Family Insurance received the fourth annual Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award.  What’s really unique about Monica is that her practice focuses on products liability litigation.  But she heard about the SBLC, and felt compelled to volunteer.  Many of the clients she met with only needed a few hours of help—and rather than breathing a sigh of relief, thinking she did her duty, she signed up for more of our pro bono projects, agreeing to meet with more small businesses.

Mary Hull of Stoel Rives received SBLC’s third annual Outstanding Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award. Mary generously contributed her time to our Pro Bono Project and to our Clinical Law Professors. Mary worked with two different pro bono clients, logging hundreds of hours of pro bono time.

Meredith received the SBLC’s second annual Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. Meredith stood out over 75 attorneys who provided pro bono assistance to clients. Some of that assistance was meeting directly with clients through our Pro Bono Project.

Darius Hartwell, recipient of SBLC’s first Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award, was selected out of more than 50 attorneys who volunteered with the SBLC during its first year for the countless hours he contributed and his efforts in recruiting other attorneys to provide pro bono services.
