A Spring 2022 Zoom Review

With the beginning of the Spring 2022 term and the extension of remote teaching through February 7, it’s a good time to review some important Zoom feature additions and updates from the past year that you may have missed.

• Licensed Zoom accounts now include real-time speech-to-text live transcription that can generate captions during Zoom sessions.
  
  
• A pronouns field has been added to Zoom profiles
  
  
• Zoom now includes a built-in video player for playing video files, which improves shared video playback quality and accessibility
  
  
• The option is available for attendees to choose their breakout rooms rather than needing to be placed by the meeting host or co-host.
  
  
• Video reordering and multi-pin allows users in gallery view to click and drag user windows, reordering to their own desired layout.
  
  
• Faculty and staff who would like to request a licensed account should email itservice@lclark.edu.
