Hey there, data enthusiasts! You know that feeling when you upgrade your phone and suddenly everything runs more smoothly? Well, that’s what we’re aiming for with our data governance at Lewis & Clark.
by Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research and Planning Renee Orlick and Information Security Officer Ann Harris, Co- Chairs of Institutional Data Standards Council (IDSC)
We’re taking our data game to the next level, folks. Imagine a world where everyone knows their way around data like it’s their favorite song on Spotify.
We’re talking Data Governance:
fostering data literacy,
promoting security consciousness, and
ensuring everyone is cognizant of the available repositories and resources for informing effective outcomes.
And the best part? Every single one of us has a role to play in this data adventure. It’s like a team sport, and together, we’re unstoppable. (For the less athletically-inclined: data governance is like a cozy blanket, and we’re about to knit it into the snazziest quilt you’ve ever seen).
The roadmap to greatness starts with awareness of DataGovernance@LC. We’ll be posting more about the journey over the next few weeks—stay tuned!
