Congrats Seniors and Cheers to Summer!

Hello L&C Students!
Breath Deep! It’s the first [official] day of finals. The end of the academic year is in your sights. You got this! Some of you might be writing papers, others have exams, and some of you have presentations (get hyped!). Whatever your mix, you are so close to the end of the semester and it’s the last push to a long deserved break, or graduation! As the week goes along be sure to look to your peers for mutual support, relief, humor, and community.
I cannot wait to join our graduates in celebration at Commencement this Saturday, May 10, and to step away from the freneticism of the academic year and back-to-back campus programs and events for a bit. This year’s graduating class is particularly special for me as I started alongside them as new students at L&C as I first arrived in Fall 2021 to the college.
To the class of 2025, you are my first L&C class that I have had the privilege to watch as you have navigated and shaped the Lewis & Clark campus experience from start to finish. This is the great joy of working in student life. I am immensely proud to have been a supporter and witness of your efforts and accomplishments during your time here, and know that wherever you head next you are ready.
But it’s not all goodbyes! We know that we will see the majority of you back here for Fall 2025! Count another year down at Lewis & Clark! I’m looking forward to seeing many of you on campus in the fall. Until then, be kind to yourself, and to others, and do what you need to do to get ready for the next year on Palatine Hill.
So hang in there this week! Take the time to center yourself and remember to check in with each other. I’m excited for what’s to come, and congratulations again on reaching the finish line!
With gratitude,
Ben Meoz,
Interim Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students
