Introducing Lewis & Clark’s Online Portal: The Hive
Lewis & Clark is excited to announce the successful launch of The Hive—a digital portal designed to help students stay connected and engaged. By fall semester 2025, The Hive will be live for all students across the undergraduate, graduate, and law campuses. The end goal is for the portal to offer a role-based experience for every user across our institution to have access to The Hive—including all students, faculty, and staff.
Starting this week, newly admitted CAS students will use The Hive Student Portal toaccess essential links, find helpful resources, and view content from various campus departments and organizations.Students will go to The Hive to check their student account, access housing, and register for classes. The Hive is customizable and students can decide what they want to see on their homepage based on their preferences.
The following video offers a sneak preview of The Hive. Faculty and staff interested in learning more may register for theFaculty Technology Institutesession on May 21 to see a live demo. See the full schedule more information.

This project began in 2023 when the Committee on Student Success created the Student Digital Experience Initiative. The initiative was led by:
Vice President of Admissions and Financial Aid Eric Staab
Vice President of Student Life Evette Castillo Clark
Director of Enterprise Applications Meredith Goddard
Director of Information Systems Brad Wilkin
The group determined that students needed a secure dashboard using a single entry point to the critical information students need without switching screens or multiple sign-ons. The Committee on Student Success selected theEllucian Experiencedashboard software, and Developer/AnalystLauren Timzencompleted the development work in collaboration with Director of First-Year Experience Jonathan Manz. The Office of Communications assisted the effort to ensure the platform looks and feels like a Lewis & Clark digital experience.
