From the Office of Inclusion & Multicultural Engagement (IME), we hope you’re settling into campus life and finding your rhythm this semester.

If you haven’t had a chance to stop by the IME office, we warmly invite you to visit! Join us for our programs, take advantage of our study space, or just come by for a conversation. IME is here to support all students, with a special focus on students of color, first-generation students, and students within the LGBTQ+ community. You can find us on the third floor of Fowler, in Room 325.

Hispanic-Latine Heritage Month, observed from September 15 to October 15, is a time to honor the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Latine, Chicanx, and Hispanic communities in the United States. This period also marks the independence days of several Latin American countries, making it a vibrant time of celebration and reflection.

Learn more about how L&C is recognizing and celebrating this month and if you’re interested in joining future planning committees, please sign up.

At IME, we believe in uplifting and celebrating cultures year-round—not just during nationally recognized heritage months. If you’d like to collaborate or celebrate your culture with us, we’d love to hear from you!

Sincerely,

Joann Zhang, Director of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement
