Greetings from the College Advising Center,
You’ve made it past the halfway point of fall term. This is a time to pause, check on your progress, and make any intentional adjustments to finish strong! This week you will receive an email that will summarize instructor feedback for your fall courses, so keep an eye out for it. The subject line will be “MidTerm Progress Report”.
The goal of the report is to open a line of communication between you and your instructor. For each course, your instructor will have selected one of the following options:
- GREEN: Given current participation and performance, I have no immediate concerns about this student.
- YELLOW: I have some concerns about this student’s engagement and/or performance. I recommend they come and talk with me and/or seek out additional resources.
- RED: If patterns of engagement and/or performance continue, this student is at risk of failing the course. It is critical that they come and talk with me and/or seek out additional resources.
In addition to connecting with instructors about the information in your MidTerm Progress Report, you can also talk with your faculty advisor and/or college advisor about academic strategies, resources, and options. We want to be sure you have the information and guidance that you need to make informed decisions. You’re welcome to make an appointment with one of us at the CAC, or you can stop by our drop-in hours every weekday from 12-2pm in Albany 206.
