Greetings L&C Students,

Fall is officially here! And with the changing leaves and rainy days we can also expect something less cozy… cold and flu season. But don’t worry—there’s plenty you can do to stay healthy and keep our community thriving in the coming months:

- Stay up to date on vaccines – Get an annual flu shot and updated COVID vaccine. The Student Health Center still has flu shots for $30 - available while supplies last!

- Practice healthy habits – Prioritize sleep, stay active, eat well, hydrate, and manage stress as best you can during a busy semester.

- Stay home when you’re sick – Rest helps recovery and prevents spreading illness. If you can’t stay home, wear a mask to help reduce the spread of illness.

- Wash your hands – Especially before meals, with soap and water.

If you do get sick, the Student Health Center is here for you. We hold some same-day appointments for acute concerns like illness. During an illness visit, you can:

- Be evaluated by a medical provider (NP or MD)

- Get tested for flu, strep, COVID, mono, and more

- Receive prescription meds, including antibiotics

In addition to sick visits, we also provide care for sexual health, including STI screening, birth control, and symptom evaluation + management. New this year: Our lab vendor can now bill your insurance directly, making STI screenings easier and usually free under preventive care insurance benefits. Call or book online today!

Warm wishes,
