It’s River Otter Week!

River Otter Week is finally here! This entire week, we will be celebrating with river otter-related events, installations, and activities across all campuses, building up to the reveal of the mascOTT design on Friday.

Check your lclark.edu account on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week for details on River Otter Week fun. You can also find information about each day’s events on the mascot website and by following the main L&C Instagram.

Run-up to the MascOTT Reveal…

Monday: River Otters are Trending What do river otters and Taylor Swift have in common? You’ll find out today.

Tuesday: Otters, Otters Everywhere! The whole campus is embracing river otters.

Wednesday: The President Speaks Today, President Holmes-Sullivan will spend time on the CAS, law, and graduate campuses sharing her excitement about our new mascot and showing off some otter-themed apparel.

Thursday: Scavenger Hunt Today’s Otter Week event is an exciting three-campus scavenger hunt for limited-edition mascot items.

Friday: The Big Reveal Our campus will transform overnight into a river otter burrow!

River Otter Reveal Party!

When you arrive on campus on Friday, February 20, our River Otter design will be out in full force on campus signage, t-shirts, bookstore merch, and more!

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the River Otter party that’s happening on February 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Trail Room. There will be door prizes; otter-themed food and mocktails; a cookie decorating station; coloring pages; a raffle, and more!

Ten Faculty Honored for Excellence

Ten faculty from across the institution were honored this month at the second annual Presidential Faculty Excellence Award ceremony.

Spring break library hours and evening access after the break

Plan ahead! Watzek will have shorter hours during spring break. And beginning on Monday, March 30, access to the building after 6 p.m. will require tapping in with an L&C ID card.

A Heartfelt Thank You: Our Staff and Faculty Power Days of Giving!

The numbers are in, and the results of last week’s Days of Giving are nothing short of remarkable. While our community-wide goals were ambitious, it was the incredible showing from our own L&C staff and faculty that truly defined the spirit of the campaign.
