The I.D.E.A. Catalyst Committee has selected Associate Professor Magalí Rabasa as the 2026 recipient of the Kristi Williams Staff & Faculty Leadership Honor.
This award, part of the annual I.D.E.A. Catalyst Awards, celebrates individuals who serve as “catalysts”—those who enact meaningful change by applying a framework of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility to their daily work.
At the 2026 Annual International and Multicultural Engagement (IME) Banquet, Magalí Rabasa was presented with the student-nominated Kristi Williams Staff & Faculty Award. Having previously received the honor in 2022, Rabasa’s repeat selection underscores her consistent role as a pillar of support for students at Lewis & Clark.
Continuing a Legacy of Inclusion
The award is named in honor of Kristi Williams, a beloved advising staff member who dedicated over 30 years to student success. It is given to those who:
-
Go above and beyond their formal roles to support underrepresented students.
-
Foster a diverse and inclusive campus community.
-
Demonstrate a deep commitment to social justice.
Rabasa’s work within the World Languages and Literatures department, and the Ethnic Studies Program continues to exemplify these values, making her a standout mentor and advocate in the eyes of the student body.
Congratulations to Professor Rabasa on this well-deserved repeat honor!
