Alister “Jia” Ng ’27 (she/her)

Alister was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Surrounded by many different cultures since young, Alister has always loved to learn and celebrate different cultures in their food, games, rituals, and more. Coming to Portland, Alister was ecstatic that she could continue to make more connections from all over the world. This motivated her to join various organizations and offices, namely ISLC, VPSL, and ASU.

In her high school in Phuket, Thailand, Alister has volunteered as a teacher, diver, and activist - supporting many local and global organizations, such as SeaBees Scuba Center, A21, and 24 Hour Race. In addition, Alister has been an active member of her community, highlighted by her role as the Head of Student Council and a speaker representative for TedxYouth.

Alister is more than excited to be part of the SAA team and contribute to the deep connection between alumni and the L&C community!
